Your life is a place for Miracles
I believe wholeheartedly that Your life is a place for Miracles. In fact, I know this to be true and I also know that miracles need you, just like a book needs a reader or a song needs a listener. My greatest desire is to create a dynamic environment within you that allows magic and miracles to manifest as naturally as breathing.
A Place for Miracles is an inspired project by Transformational Life Coach Darlene Tindall and Creative Director Dania Rodriguez. The pair is travelling in search of places where miracles want to be created.
"Miracles are waiting for collaborators to bring them into the world of form."
The miracle mindset is an opening to the blessings and possibilities of life combined with gratitude and courageous action. "We want to help people tap into a whole new way of experiencing life and living."
Will you be one of them?

Cafetaria Viriato
Rua Doutor Alberto Aries de Gente, Porto, Portugal
At the end of March, 2023, we travelled to Porto and found ourselves with a full day before we could check into our accommodation. Luckily, there was a cafe close by. We were welcomed in warmly and even given a space to tuck all our luggage away. During the course of the day, faces became familiar and that evening I discovered that the Cristina, was also our neighbour. We spoke over the wall dividing our gardens. She said something to me that impacted me deeply "You are welcome here."
A few days later, we needed to repeat the same routine and were once again invited to hang out as long as we needed. On our first visit I'd noticed a variety of signs hanging or painted in various places, encouraging dancing and enjoying the moment. In a flash, I knew I needed to ask if "this is a place for miracles" would find a place there too. I showed Cristina pictures from my time in Jimena and explained what I was doing. She lit up and offered an instant YES! Then she looked at me in amazement and confirmed "This is a place for miracles!"
A short while later, Carla, her business partner found some paint supplies, I dug out my stencil, suddenly art was happening and the two of us were in miracle creation heaven. What a Joy!
The cafe is a busy spot. I can tell there's more going on behind the scenes than meets the eye. These ladies are continually creating something even a little more special. A few days after leaving Porto, I received this story from Cristina on how the cafe came to them. "I'm a lawyer and I live next door as you saw and the owner of the Cafetaria was my client. One day he told me he wanted to sell and asked me to go with him to a meet. In that day I decided to buy the place and asked Carla that is a teacher to join me. We had two other friends that had experience, liked the idea and they accepted. We started the business with no money and then there was the pandemie. We held on cooking things for friends take way, and now I' m a cooker instead of a lawyer and earn much less money but I enjoy to receive and cook for the customers. We are spreading love and attention to people. Many times I ask myself why I'm doing this... maybe is a mission."
In my experience, sometimes a cafe is just a cafe. You go in, get your lunch and you leave. Sometimes a cafe is much more than that. It's a place where people feel like they matter, there's a genuine connection between owners and patrons, there's a heartbeat that penetrates the community and allows something greater than itself to grow. That's what Cafetaria Viriato is to me.
If you find yourself in Porto, please pay them a visit and tell them you know me! You can also follow them on Instagram.
Finally, let it be known that Cafetaria Viriato is most definitely A Place for Miracles!

Casa Nidra
Jimena de la Frontera, Spain
I never know who I'll meet during my travels but I do know that as long as I'm open to possibilities, reaching out and following my heart's desire to connect and contribute, I'll continue to find community builders with big hearts and a beautiful vision. Our most recent travels have brought us to Jimena de la Frontera, Spain, a special town in Andalusia. That's where we met Adam Modzelan who invited us to Casa Nidra for all the best things; music, food, meditation and beautiful conversation. I could feel right away that Adam is not only a natural host but that he has a way of creating a space where collaboration and improvisation are fun and accessible.
Adam and his partner Kasia Klimczewska purchased this home in the green hills as a place for them to enjoy winters away from Poland but also to share with others who are looking for a place to enjoy nature and a quieter pace of life. As they began making the house their home, their vision started to expand. Kasia is a Yoga Teacher with a focus on the practice of Yoga Nidra which she describes as "yogic sleep that connects you to your inner self". Now Casa Nidra is a place for people to connect to others and themselves. It's a space for all the best things but most of all for bringing people together.
You can find Casa Nidra on FaceBook here. For more about Kasia and the work she's doing click here. To check out the amazing music by Adam find him on YouTube here. And, to book an amazing space to host events in Poland, check out Adam's heritage home here.

Adventures in Mindfulness
Chichester, West Sussex, England
Nikki Hayers and I met at the Chithurst Buddhist Monestary in Petersfield, England and as soon as I learned about her new direction with her work, I knew she had something important to share in her community and I knew I could help in some way. Something wonderful happens when we start talking about miracles and possibilities and I'm so grateful to have been able to share them with Nikki.
Nikki has been practicing as a Psychological Therapist for over 14 years and has been looking for a way to complement and enhance what she's able to do for clients. Now that she's experienced the effects of her own mindfulness practice, she sees a much greater possibility for people.
"As my personal mindfulness practice has developed, I have felt moved to develop my own business where I can approach people as fellow humans with a focus on helping them move towards what is important to them and acknowledging/managing the difficulties that arise on this journey. We all have a lot more that is right with us than is wrong with us and we also all have an innate ability to heal ourselves, we just get stuck sometimes as we tend to want to cling to what is familiar rather than push through difficulty to what is really important to us. Mindfulness can help us become more in tune with ourselves and these natural abilities that we have lost sight of. The more we practice mindfulness skills, we organically develop a kinder and more intuitive way of relating to ourselves and others and we soon begin to find more contentment and ease within ourselves. Our resilience increases, as a result, and we are better positioned to deal with whatever life throws at us. Once we have learnt these skills and continue to practice them they become a natural way of being."
I love the connection between Miracles and Mindfulness! Nikki told me that her practice has been an adventure and led to many experiences that she would never have expected. This motivates her to get up every morning and meditate. She knows the more consistently she meditates, the more fruits it will bear! She's had some extremely difficult times over the past few years and meditation enabled her to take them in my stride and the more this happens the more empowered she's felt to deal with anything.
"I want to share this experience with others. Meditation has taught me to be open, aware and to do things, that I would have shied away from before, with a spirit of adventure."
Adventures in Mindfulness is based in Chichester, West Sussex, England and will be going live in the new year offering online one-to-one mindfulness based therapy via zoom; Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Courses in community venues; and ACT in the Workplace workshops. The website, currently in construction, is www.adventuresinmindfulness.org and Nikki can be contacted via email at [email protected].

Walnut Wellness
West Camel, Somerset, UK
Syreeta Belle Davis is one of those people I feel I've known forever. We met at the Castle Cary market on a rainy Tuesday morning and fell into an instant vibe of comfort and connection. Like many women with a passion for wholistic living, she's doing it all while slowly growing her business and spreading the word about plant medicines and the bounty that our natural world has to offer us.
Syreeta makes hand made products using medicinal herbs and essential oils. She offers insight into herbal healing and makes bespoke skin care products for your personal needs including body balms, butters, lotions, body oils, hair oils, products for afro hair and locks as well as tinctures and serums...
I'm delighted to have Syreeta join our project and can't wait until the New Year when we can sit down and look at the Miracles that are waiting to plant their seeds and grow through her, her family and her work.

Unwrapped Essentials
Zero Waste Store, Castle Cary, UK
When we first met Tisha Collins, owner of Unwrapped Essentials, we were instantly aware of the joy that her little shop gives her and her customers. As we got to know her more we discovered that Tisha is a perfect example of someone living "on purpose". She has a passion for reducing waste and being a service to her community. She also shared about how her experiences have shaped her and given her an appreciation for all that she has. "Every morning that I wake up is a miracle."
Her message is clear: Be grateful for what you have, keep smiling and do what you can to make the world a better place.
Our hope is that more and more people step into a life that they love living. We love seeing communities come together to lift one another up, support small businesses with big visions and continue to dream about what else might be possible.
We are so grateful to have met Tisha and to have discovered her shop...of which we quickly became regular customers. She inspired us and helped make our time in Castle Cary welcoming and rewarding.
